# Verify Your Token Globally

For your token to appear correctly across Cardano's ecosystem — explorers, portfolio trackers, wallets, and DEX interfaces — its metadata needs to live in the Cardano Token Registry. Without that, tools display a raw policy ID instead of your token's name and logo.

## What is the Cardano Token Registry?

The [Cardano Token Registry](https://github.com/cardano-foundation/cardano-token-registry) is a public GitHub repository maintained by the Cardano Foundation. It maps token policy IDs to human-readable metadata like name, ticker, logo, and description.

Once your token is listed, tools like Eternl, Lace, Taptools, and CardanoScan will display your token's name and logo instead of a raw policy ID.

## Newly graduated tokens — automatic

Every token that **graduates** on Snekfun is submitted to the Cardano Token Registry automatically. You don't need to do anything — no GitHub fork, no signing key, no pull request.

Submission is triggered by graduation itself. Approval by the Cardano Foundation typically takes a few days to a week, and once merged most Cardano tools update within 24–48 hours.

  The metadata submitted is whatever is set on your token's Snekfun page at the moment of graduation — name, ticker, description, logo, and primary social link. Make sure your token page is filled in correctly before you graduate. See [Token updates](/for-creators/manage/token-updates).

## Legacy tokens — contact support

If your token graduated before automatic submission was enabled and isn't yet in the registry, open a ticket in our [Discord](https://discord.gg/snekcoin) and the team will handle the submission on your behalf.

When opening the ticket, include:

* Your token's policy ID and ticker
* Your creator wallet address (we'll ask you to sign a message from it to confirm ownership)
* Confirmation that your token's Snekfun page metadata (name, ticker, description, logo, socials) is up to date — the registry submission uses that content

## After approval

Once the Cardano Foundation merges the submission, most Cardano tools update automatically within 24–48 hours. Your token will display its name, ticker, and logo across wallets and explorers.

If your token's appearance hasn't updated after a week, open a support ticket in Discord with your policy ID and we'll look into it.
